Martial Law will be declared, possibly in the whole of the U.S. Travel will be limited and restricted! Trucks will not be rolling and food supplies will dwindle to nothing. People will hunger. Supermarkets only have three days to a week of food. Shelves will be emptied immediately, and rioting will break out if a truck gets in.

    Crime will escalate almost immediately in the strike zone, if criminals are able to operate. Do not count on police and fire departments. You will have to guard your property.

    This attack coming will most likely be a well–coordinated attack. They want casualties. How do they generate the most? By knocking out electricity generation in that city; poisoning the municipal water utilities, and disrupting city services. Fire storms may be started such that the air will be loaded with debris.

The threat of a terrorist attack with a biological weapon is growing. A government panel has admitted that by 2013, the risk is high. Here is the AP story.

The United States can expect a terrorist attack using nuclear or more likely biological weapons before 2013, reports a bipartisan commission in a study being briefed Tuesday to Vice President-elect Joe Biden. It suggests the Obama administration bolster efforts to counter and prepare for germ warfare by terrorists.

"Our margin of safety is shrinking, not growing," states the report, obtained by The Associated Press. It is scheduled to be publicly released Wednesday.

The commission is also encouraging the new White House to appoint one official on the National Security Council to exclusively coordinate U.S. intelligence and foreign policy on combating the spread of nuclear and biological weapons.

The report of the Commission on the Prevention of WMD Proliferation and Terrorism, led by former Sens. Bob Graham of Florida and Jim Talent of Missouri, acknowledges that terrorist groups still lack the needed scientific and technical ability to make weapons out of pathogens or nuclear bombs. But it warns that gap can be easily overcome, if terrorists find scientists willing to share or sell their know-how.

"The United States should be less concerned that terrorists will become biologists and far more concerned that biologists will become terrorists," the report states.

The city will get martial law within hours of an attack. Banks all over America will get their ATM's emptied: the public's rush to get currency. To save the banks, the government will restrict this. Trucks will stop delivering in many cities. The division of labor will shrink.

Then there will be a second attack.

This is the big one. There is no effective defense.

The public will ignore this report. It will be out of people's memory within a week. Christmas shopping will take over, or news about the stock market, or something. This is why it will be possible to hedge.

Quietly, you should begin allocating money to buy goods that you use regularly, but which you would not like to run out of. Buy on sale. Buy for [with] currency -- no digital trail. There will be a war on hoarders under crisis conditions.

If you must put up a locked storage shed in your back yard, do it.

If you don't have a privacy fence, get one built.

Far better than having money in the bank for six months of living expenses is to have six months of stuff in a shed that you would otherwise have spent the money to buy.

Here is political reality: Buying to protect your family before a crisis is regarded as a public service: reducing a burden on the public during a crisis. No problem. "Mormons say they do this. Why not us?" Buying ten minutes after the first report hits will make you a hoarder. If you must buy then, buy with currency, not digits. But don't buy then. Buy before.
